Sue Farrell - Broadcast Engineering Manager

As Channel 4’s Broadcast Engineering Manager, I lead a technical team working with our partners to specify and deliver our on-air services. I began my career in broadcasting twenty years ago after working as a research scientist. I enjoy analysing complex problems and coming up with creative solutions that benefit our millions of viewers.

Poonam Shah - Executive Assistant

I'm an Executive Assistant in the Technology department, having joined Channel 4 fifteen years ago as a Team Assistant on a six months contract. I still remember the excitement I felt walking beneath the iconic 4 and attending the induction in our cinema. A feeling of pride still resonates with me to date.

Amir Aryanpour - Solution Architect

I am a Lead Solution Architect at Channel 4. Unlike other companies, all the new joiners of Channel 4 (including me) went through the induction on the very same day. This means I had started with colleagues from other departments like Finance or Legal, and promptly felt part of the “Channel 4 family”.

Ven Wong - Senior UX Designer

I work in a small team of UX Designers, who form part of the Channel 4 Product Team. We aim to constantly improve the Channel 4 app for our users across multiple platforms, with my focus being Big Screen Devices. What I like about working at Channel 4, is that my opinion is always considered. There is a culture of openness and honesty which makes me feel I can be myself. As a woman working in ‘tech’, it is common to find myself surrounded by mostly male colleagues.

Alexandra Blowey - Junior 3rd Party Platform Editor

I started as an Apprentice at Channel 4 in February 2019. I felt at home from the start, I love my team and couldn’t believe I had my dream job. I am proud to work at Channel 4; inclusion to me means that every voice is listened to, there’s always something to celebrate! We are always championing different voices by using our platform to educate, inspire and make people feel heard.

Stephen Lynch - Public Affairs Manager

I joined the Channel as I believed I could make a difference here. I am constantly learning how we can tell our story in a more engaging way, and feel very proud and grateful to be able to represent Channel 4 externally. I like how friendly the people are and how dedicated everyone is to what they are doing. There are so many positive things happening in the organisation, especially the tremendous amount of support for staff.

Alan Moss - Marketing Lead for E4, Entertainment and Factual Entertainment

I work in the Marketing & Viewer Experience team, leading marketing campaigns for programmes like Bake Off, Married At First Sight and Taskmaster. I’ve worked at Channel 4 since 2012 and always wanted to work at the company, inspired by the fact it makes genuine change and brings different perspectives and stories to the mainstream in an entertaining way. I love working here because as a workplace, Channel 4 enables and encourages me to be my true self.

Kate Clayton - Paralympics Executive

I am the Paralympics Executive at Channel 4, overseeing corporate, communications and brand activity in the Marketing team. I joined in 2013 following Channel 4’s phenomenal broadcast of the London 2012 Paralympics, which changed the face of broadcasting Paralympic sport and challenged public attitudes to disability.

Richard Kattan - Media Planning Manager

I work in Marketing and Viewer Experience, overseeing the strategic and creative planning of our Continuity inventory. Growing up, I always wanted to for work Channel 4 because it was the irreverent, cool channel, but mainly because it best reflected the culturally diverse and inclusive perspectives of my mixed race upbringing. I started here in September 2012, just as the London Paralympics was kicking off. The Meet the Superhumans campaign was everywhere and I’ll never forget the jubilant energy around the building; I immediately knew I was in the right place.

Simi Murthy - Brand Marketing Lead

I’m so excited to be working at Channel 4, having wanted to work here for many years. The biggest thing I’ve noticed about Channel 4 is how open and friendly everyone is; their passion for the brand and content is truly infectious. I have worked in organisations before that I haven’t felt able to be true to myself and I really believe Channel 4 lets me be me, and wants to hear my opinion. The brand is built on celebrating difference and challenging the status quo and that is so important to me in terms of an employer.
