Tom Data Science Intern

I’m Tom and I’m a Data Scientist Intern in the Leeds office. I’m working on a natural language processing project using machine learning and AI to tag Channel 4 shows with descriptive labels as part of my Master’s degree. My favourite thing about working here is the sense of community, everyone has been so supportive and generous with their time. Even though I started remotely due to COVID, I really felt like part of the team straightaway!

Tom Watts - Press Assistant

I started working at Channel 4 in February 2020. I have always wanted to work in television, and Channel 4 always had the most creative and inventive output, in my mind. I loved that they were willing to take risks with their programming and felt it would be a fun place to work.

Jessica Culshaw - Group Publicity Manager

I joined Channel 4 in January 2018 as a Publicity Manager in the factual team because my background was in news and current affairs at the BBC. However,  I’ve always had a keen interest in the digital side of things and moved into the newly created role of Group Publicity Manager for E4, Channel 4 streaming and Digital in June 2019.

Caroline Percy - Senior Portfolio Manager

I work as part of Channel 4's Indie Growth Fund, concerned with investing in TV/Digital production companies. I had heard about the fund whenever investments were made and announced in the press and I always thought that it would be a dream job. I was thrilled when a role became available! I enjoy talking to company founders about their companies and their future ambitions to grow their business; my role is to help them achieve their ambitions.

Enzo Jan Fusco - 4Studio Team Assistant

I’ve always had a passion for media and TV, and Channel 4 is something I’ve grown up with so it was an honour when this opportunity arose, especially to be up north too. I am 4Studio’s PA, creative thinker, knowledge holder, and general sorter outer. The main bulk of my responsibilities are to look after the Head of 4Studio as well as our Social Lead and Digital Content Director, but I also provide support to the wider department. It has been amazing to be a part of 4Studio since it’s inception and been able to build and grow a wonderful department.

Drea Chambers - Junior Video Editor

I started working for Channel 4 last year. My first day was the first day of lockdown 1! I’ve always wanted to work for Channel 4 since a very young age. They were the broadcaster that not only ignited my desire to be a filmmaker but also helped me understand my place in this world as a queer individual; the culture at Channel 4 has made me feel confident to begin my gender social transition. It’s an honour to be working for a broadcaster that champions the voices and talents of communities that are marginalised in the wider society.
