Production Training Scheme 

Applications are now open for the Channel 4 Production Training Scheme 2024.

On the Production Training Scheme, we offer opportunities across the UK, where our trainees get to work for independent production companies for a period of 12 months alongside support and training delivered by thinkBIGGER! 

In week one, trainees spend a week in TV Boot Camp to get things underway. Here, they hear from graduates of the scheme and Commissioning Editors who’ll give them the lowdown on what it takes to succeed. Then their career in TV starts for real at their production company - but they’ll still receive invaluable training each month from thinkBIGGER! to help them further their career.

Applicants applying for this scheme may already have a degree in Film and Television (or related) or have some previous experience of the television industry through running, work experience or short-term placements, but no more than three (3) months cumulatively. 

This year, we will be offering opportunities with companies in Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and Middlesbrough.

Applications are open now until Monday 22nd April. Placements will begin on September 16 2024, and last twelve months. Candidates must be available to work full time throughout the duration of the twelve month placement.
